Board of Governors said yes to cuts

Despite the Board's own May 14 recommendation to find a "no-cuts" solution, and a compelling argument for "no cuts" from faculty Board rep Frank Harris, with support from Stephen Williams, the Board voted devastatingly in favor of Senate's recommendation to accept the "cuts" budget.

The budget presented to the Board was essentially the same one that Senate was initially directed to revise. However, unlike its faculty-led ad hoc shadow committee, the Senate Budget Advisory Committee (SBAC) could not find its way to a "no-cuts" solution for one year.
