Submitted by Michael Markwick,Communications instructor: Presidential debates - Oct 4 and 19, 2016

The School of Communication has partnered with the US Consul General for Vancouver to present two viewing parties for the 2016 Presidential Election.  Billed as the most watched debates (perhaps the most watched events, period) in the history of the United States, our viewing parties allow the Capilano University community unprecedented access to an unprecedented political phenomenon.

Join Congressmen Martin Lancaster (D) from hotly contested North Carolina and Steven Kuykendall (R) California for the VEEP Debate, Tues, Oct 4, 5 p.m., at the BlueShore Theatre.

On Wed, Oct 19, join US Consul General Lynne Platt and leaders from the wider community as we watch the final Clinton v. Trump debate, 5 p.m. at the BlueShore Theatre.

See the links below for tickets; admission is free, but donations are welcome.  Please share this information widely.

Here's to building a free and democratic society, Michael
